Native to New Zealand, Amy Wang is a New York based clarinetist with a versatile career. Her recent performances include appearances with the Grammy nominated woodwind quintet, Imani Winds; guest clarinetist with International Contemporary Ensemble; concert in South America with Andrea Bocelli and recital programs throughout New York City. As an orchestral musician, Amy performed with Martha Graham Dance Company, Glens Fall Symphony, her native New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, as well as gala concerts at Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, Symphony Space and Merkin Hall. 


Beside performing, Amy loves curating concerts. As the Artistic Director for International Chamber Orchestra of America from 2017-2019, Amy curates intimate salon style chamber music concert in New York City penthouses. Her recent collaboration is with Sotheby International and fashion designer Sienna Li at the Crown of Manhattan penthouse. 


Winner of Auckland Performing Arts Competition, Amy made her debut at age 14 at Sydney Opera House. A graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, Eastman School of Music and Mannes College The New School of Music, Amy studied with Nathan Williams, Kenneth Grant, Charles Neidich and Ayako Oshima. Amy was awarded a full scholarship for her Master of Music and Professional studies from Mannes and Creative New Zealand.
